Interprofessional Simulation in Health Care: Materiality, Embodiment, Interaction is the result of four years of collaboration between Linköping University, Karolinska Institutet and the University of Gothenburg. This collaboration provides different perspectives and specialized research regarding the use of simulation for learning in healthcare among interprofessionals. This book provides information that will provide an important learning tool to practitioners and university professors which is, simulation-based learning. This learning tool could be especially important for those in all types of health care fields as well as for students who are studying to enter health care fields. Furthermore, the majority of information in this book is for practical use while also putting forward some interesting theoretical information that has potential for further research.

This book is organized rather uniquely; each chapter focuses on one main topic but the chapters are usually sectioned off into two parts written by two different teams of authors. Each section is meant to provide the reader with different perspectives and research on the topic of the chapter. This unique way of organizing information provides the reader with different perspectives on each topic and an abundance of research to further explain the topic. This organization style allows the reader the freedom the read sections in any order or as individual articles.

Most of the authors responsible for this book are native to Sweden. However, the beginning of each chapter is written by guest authors from all over the world who are experts in their fields. This collaboration of international authors is one of the biggest strengths of this book. It shows how thoroughly researched the topic in this book are and this research is shown from a multitude of perspectives. The authors of this book have conducted their own research and have further demonstrated their points with other experts’ research and theories.
