CAIPE jointly with the Royal Society of Medicine offers two annual prizes in the memory of Dr John Horder who, as you may know, was one of the founding members of CAIPE, the GP section of the RSM and the RCGP.
Ther is an offer of two awards – one to a nominated or self-nominated individual or team working within the primary health and social care community who can demonstrate outstanding principles of interprofessional learning and working. The other is an award offered to a student essay submission reflecting the experience and learning achieved following interprofessional learning and working within the community. Both submissions are not limited to the UK but should be in English, reflecting the philosophy and thinking of John Horder.
The award of £600 and a Certificate of Achievement will be presented to a nominated or self-nominated individual or team working within the primary health and social care community who can demonstrate outstanding principles of interprofessional learning and working.
The student award of £150 is open to prequalifying students from all health care professions. It is given to the student submitting the best essay describing and discussing their experience of interprofessional working or learning.
The closing date for applications is 1st May 2020.
The awards will be presented at the 40th Primary Care Update to be held at the Royal Society of Medicine in September 2020.
